Who I Am

I am Jannel Waldron, founder of Simple Form Architecture in Portland, Oregon.

I help adventuring entrepreneurs design modern getaways to align with their visionary and active lifestyles. I also help small businesses in Portland and communities in rural Oregon and Washington revitalize old buildings with new, modern amenities. My goal is to honor each client’s needs and give back to the community thoughtfully.

I bring 20 years of experience, with recent projects like artist and maker spaces for the local BIPOC community and renovating a warehouse into flexible, performance spaces for a local art institution. I have a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from the University of Virginia and a Master of Architecture from Arizona State University.

I was recognized as a 2020 Daily Journal of Commerce Woman of Vision for my leadership and mentoring role in the profession.

Simple Form Architecture is licensed in Oregon, Washington and Arizona. The firm brings experience working in both the Pacific Northwest and Southwest regions, acknowledging the very distinct differences in climate, culture, and environment and how every design fits into its own specific context.
